Busy, Busy, Busy

I've abandoned my little blog lately. We have been crazy busy having fun!

Little Due got to go to his first Reds game and got a ball from a bullpin pitcher... They made the playoffs for the first time in 15 years!

Waving to the pitchers.

Front row seats!

The weather is changing too so I dug out some jeans from the boxes of hand-me-downs my cousin gave us.  Some of the knees were worn thin and I remembered seeing applique knee patches somewhere in blogland recently.  Here's my version.

Lion and Elephant

I think he likes them!

We also took a trip to the zoo...

Climbing the fences.

Saying hi to the farm animals.

Bear, big bear.

Monkey!

Through the fences.

Over the weekend the Fire Department did a Safety Event at our local home improvement store.  After I ran 13 miles we spent all day there, 8:30-3:00, on my feet talking to people about the departement and Child Passenger Safety.  (Of course I didn't get any picures of my set up, oh well.)  Talk about exhaused!  The highlights of the day were building a fire boat with Gran and Peepa, the medical helicopter landing and cutting up a car.  (We are wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awarness, a fundraiser for all the area departments in October.)

Hello Helicopter.

Thinking about it.

Me and Little Dude.

And if that wasn't enough we went to an air show at the city's 'older/smaller' airport (its mainly used for corporate jets and personal aircraft) to check out some planes, including some WWII bombers.

Totally cool terminal.

Totally cool old buildings.

Looks like a salute to the Air Force Plane.

Cute!

Between working on Little Dude's Halloween costume (he wants to be a purple stegosaurus) and the last couple of weeks of marathon training I'm not getting much else done right now. I've got a 22 miles on schedule for Saturday before the Auburn vs. Kentucky game!
